 Mother's Day in the park

Manly Harbour VillageMother's day in the park is on this Sunday 11 May 2014! The day starts 9.00 am through to 2.00 pm, there will be a 'free' entertainment program happening in Little Bayside Park, Manly (at the intersection of the Esplanade and Cambridge Parade) presented for the Community by the Bayside PCYC and the Manly Harbour Village COC Partnership.

Bring Mum and the rest of the Family and enjoy a day in the sun listening to great performers and browsing the Manly Creative Markets (8.00 am - 3.00 pm) on the shore of Moreton Bay in beautiful Manly Harbour Village. Mum can enjoy freshly brewed coffee and pastries for morning tea, choose from a variety of foods for lunch from the markets or from the eateries and restaurants in Manly Harbour Village.

 Movies in the Park - Parental Guidance

Manly Harbour Village

The Bayside PCYC and the Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce Partnership presents Movies in the Park. Movies in the park is a free community event, this months movie on Saturday the 1st of March 7pm is "Parental Guidance". Artie and Diane agree to look after their three grandkids when their type-A helicopter parents need to leave town for work. Problems arise when the kids' 21st-century behavior collides with Artie and Diane's old-school methods.

Bring the family, a picnic rug or folding chairs and enjoy the Pre Movie Entertainment by the Windsor Brass Band at 6.00 pm courtesy of Brisbane City Council. Dine at the variety of restaurants, cafes and eateries in Manly Harbour Village. Food can also be purchased at the Movies from 5.00 pm!

The next movie on Saturday 2 November is "Night at the Museum" starting at 7pm at Little Bayside Park, Manly. Bring the family, a picnic rug or folding chairs and enjoy the Movie on the shore of Moreton Bay! Dine at the variety of restaurants, cafes and eateries in Manly Harbour Village.

A newly recruited night security guard at the Museum of Natural History discovers that an ancient curse causes the animals and exhibits on display to come to life and wreak havoc. Movie stars Ben Stiller, is rated PG and is a comedy.

 Bands at the Manly Markets

Manly Harbour Village

Manly Creative Market is still going strong and on Sunday 11 August was supporting local school bands at Little Bayside Park. The Market entertainment started at 9am with the Tingalpa State School Band followed by Wondall State School Band, Brisbane Bayside State College Band, South Brisbane Federal Band, BUMS (Brisbane Ukulele Musicians), Redlands Ladies Drum Corps, Manly State School Band, Wynnum State School Band with the Wynnum State High School Concert Band and Stage Band for a big finish to the day. Thank you to Floranel Budziosz, Lyn Husband and the Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce for organising the day. The weather was great, plenty of food and drinks to choose from and a nice selection of stalls to browse through.
Wynnum Manly is a great place to live.

On Friday 21, Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September , the inaugural Power, Sail & Paddle Manly 2012 will be happening in Manly Boat Harbour. It's going to be a huge weekend, so please put these two special events in your diary now and plan to attend.
