Brisbane Family Fishing Classic 2003

Reel Fun, Reel Fishing, Reel Competition and Really Great Prizes

The Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club will again be hosting Brisbane's premier fishing event, the Brisbane Family Fishing Classic. This major fishing event is celebrating it's 17th year and will be held over the May Day long-weekend, Saturday 3rd to Monday 5th May with the briefing night to be held at 7.00pm Friday 2nd May at the Manly Clubhouse.

The Brisbane Family Fishing Classic has evolved from a single day fishing competition to a three-day event run over the May Day Long Weekend. It is the only major inshore/offshore fishing competition within the Brisbane Metropolitan Area. The aims of the event are to encourage responsible fishing practice and environmental sensitivity through boating and fishing, and to achieve encouraging participation from all family members. A unique feature of the fishing classic is a separate division catering for children and offering them prizes for the best of each fish species of Whiting, Bream, Flathead & Snapper.
