Re: Bayside Spring Festival (Score: 1)
by Anonymous on Monday, 28 October 2002 @ 04:15:38
The Herald is sent photos and editorial on the Spring Festival leading up to the event but unfortunately it is not all published. As one who remembers the old days when the Herald would publish photos and biographies of all the quest entrants, committee and all the events AND take photos ALL WEEKEND of the Tiny Tots winners, the new queens etc it is a pity that does not happen now. We need everyone to tell their friends in other areas it is on and invite them down for a weekend by the bay. The word is spreading though - the boy winner of the 6 to 12 years section in the Community Quest was from Burpengary and some of the entrants in the Talent Quest came from Ipswich and Beenleigh areas. WynnumManly.com have been great with all the publicity they gave us and donating the computer. Hopefully, more people will look at the site in the future and next year's Spring Festival will be crowded with people who read all about it on the "net".
