 | Awards: Wynnum Partnership Finalist for PM's Award |
  Bayside Recruitment and BABI Youth and Family Support have been named as national finalists in the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Community Business Partnerships.
The winners will be announced at a special gala Awards Dinner at the City Hall in Brisbane on 15 September 2004. National Award winners will each receive $10,000 towards the extension of their community project.
The Prime Minister’s Awards celebrate partnerships that actively contribute to greater social cohesion and stronger communities through shared commitment, energy and creativity.

| Awards: Senior Citizens Grants Recipients |
 Cr Peter Cumming has announced the successful recipients of the Brisbane City Council Senior Citizens Funding Program. Grants are given to community based seniors groups to help defray the costs of Christmas parties, Christmas bus trips and similar outings. Cr Cumming said the Wynnum-Manly area was very fortunate to have so many community spirited volunteers providing so much benefit to the less fortunate in the district.
