 A Family Reunion celebrating the 110th Wedding anniversary of James Hendry McDougall and Isabella Miles is being held on the 23rd of May 2004. The reunion will be also encompassing the family members that have descended from Isabella's brother John Miles. There is a Manly connection in that a branch of the Miles family lived on Kingsley Terrace and owned a printery in Pine St. Please contact the organiser.

Outdoor adventures are not only the domain of the young and agile according to Walking for Pleasure President Elaine Wickings.
For the past twelve years this walking group, that caters for people predominantly over 40 years of age, has organised easy, moderate and challenging Day Walks, Camps, Safari Trips, Queensland and Interstate Adventure Holidays with Walks. Members have visited Cape York, The Flinders Ranges, The Blue Mountains and Central Coast of New South Wales to name a few destinations. Day walks to date this year have been to Mt Tambourine, Coomera Circuit, Binna Burra, Rainbow Falls and Purlingbrook Falls. Camps have been held at Girraween, Woodgate, Broken Head, Cania Gorge and the Bunya Mountains. Eighteen years or eighty plus, active, registered members of Walking for Pleasure are eligible to take part in these exciting activities
