In 2005 a Lifelong Learning Directory was created listing many of the local formal and informal learning opportunities in the region. The Bayside South Development Forum, Inc (formerly Wynnum Manly Regional Development Partnership, Inc) is updating this directory for release during Adult Learners' Week early in September.
Any organisation that has learning opportunities for children or adults in the region can have their details included in the latest directory, and their details included in the website of the Forum.
There is no charge for this. The booklet will be distributed in the district so that newcomers to the area, or those just looking for teaching or another interest can use the booklet to get details.

Regional Development: Wynnum Manly Regional Development Partnership
For those of you I have not yet had the opportunity to meet I should start by introducing myself. Iím Kevin Liepins and, through the auspices of the Wynnum Manly Regional Development Partnership (WMRDP), I have taken up a posting as the regionís Tourism and Industry Development Officer.
My appointment, in April 2002 was as a result of tourism being identified as a priority for development by the WMRDP. A bid by the WMRDP for a 16-month project, funded by the Federal Government under the Regional Assistance Program, was successful.
