 | Spring Festival: Wynnum Manly Spring Parade |
  A cloudy, rainy day greeted the Spring Parade this year but the parade marched on undeterred. School bands (Manly SS, Wynnum Nth SS), a pipe band, vintage cars, belly dancers and camels paraded through the streets of Wynnum. The pony club trotted past with a dedicated mum trailing behind to clean up the mess, even members without ponies participated (see photo below). Balloons and lollies were handed out to the children as the parade made its way to the Wynnum Manly foreshore.
After the parade children and adults alike enjoyed the rides, food and entertainment at George Clayton Park. The camel ride was very popular with many people taking the opportunity for a bumpy stroll around the park. Shame about the weather but still a reasonable turnout for an iconic Bayside event.
Congratulations to the dedicated Spring Festival team for another successful festival.
