Residents who walk along the esplanade will have noticed that seaweed is yet again all over the walking path along the seawall. I have it on good authority that this material is an excellent fertiliser for people’s gardens. However please don’t rely on my advice.
However anyone who agrees is welcome to assist council by collecting some seaweed off the walking path area only.
Further the large chunks of cement that broke off the wall are still lying on the mudflats to in some cases the sand near the wading pool.
I have reported them and hope to see them picked up by council staff before Easter . In addition I have asked that all the rubbish on the esplanade be picked up within a week especially the area near the corner of the Wynnum Jetty and the wading pool. _________________ Peter Cumming
