My newly acquired freezer broke down the other day and I called to have it fixed under the warranty. Well what a pain that was. Slow to respond, turned up with few options and had to go order parts, promised super quick response then told wait a week for the parts just to arrive, let alone a new time to then install. Fellas, its my freezer for pete's sake I told them, to be told, yes sorry sir, we only fix them you need to talk to the manufacturer. Argh the frustration, the brand damage this is doing in my mind to their business. Im at the "never again buy that brand" stage of despair.
Why does it have to be so? For the life of me and this is an age old problem, why does after sales service for so many businesses have to be nigh on impossible for companies? They say, word of mouth advertising is some of the best kind but its also know that its the result of doing things right. I might be a simpleton but I see after sales service as the most important part of the client relationship. think relationships. Dating and flirting is fun, exciting and usually infused with a lot of bravado, exageration, posturing but once your living together and all that stops, its whether you put the toilet seat down or not that determines how much love you get..get my meaning. _________________ Jon Hui
